Operating as a supply chain consultant for 6 years he has worked in the manufacturing (metal, machinery, food and textile) industries and warehouse and distribution industries. He holds a Bachelor of Business degree majoring in Information Technology, a Graduate Certificate in Enterprise Wide Systems and is currently finalising his Master in Information Technology degree and is a member of the US based Lean Enterprise Institute. David has been involved in developing many cutting edge supply chain solutions for clients and one of his specialities is enterprise resource planning packages and their application to delivering business value. He is a seasoned systems analyst and strategist. One of David’s strengths is his ability to link business operations and IT technicians’ thereby ensuring smooth and efficient technology implementation. He is experienced in introducing new and innovative ideas to shopfloor staff, in driving creativity and the use of technology, and in communicating with technicians while getting operational results within timeframes and budgets. David is a recognised public speaker on business improvement and has delivered seminars and presentations for corporate clients (both large and small), academia, trade and professional bodies in Australia and has a number of articles and papers published in trade journals and magazines. David was recently invited to speak at the prestigious SMART 2003 conference in Sydney, arguably the largest supply chain conference in the southern hemisphere. David is also currently lecturing at Queensland University of Technology at an undergraduate and masters level and brings extensive executive management and supply chain experience to the team. Back to top Andrew Barham: Project Consultant Andrew has been a professional manufacturing manager with 20 years experience in a range of industries including aircraft, hot metal forming, fabrication, and automotive. He has a demonstrated track record of productivity improvement and cost reduction with expertise in finding and eliminating all forms of waste. He is experienced in business strategy and planning and the need to balance various stakeholder requirements for maximum corporate benefit. His excellent management and interpersonal skills ensure effective, productive working relationships with suppliers, customers, and staff. He has a proven ability to communicate at all levels, with a willingness to share information and ideas. Andrew has supported his practical experience with an honours degree in Mechanical Engineering, a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching, a Graduate Diploma in Quality and a Masters Degree in Business Administration. Back to top Peter Farrell: Project Consultant Peter has over 22 years experience in the manufacturing and industrial sector eight years in rail network maintenance and fourteen years in manufacturing and logistics specialising in Information Technology and production systems. Peter’s knowledge and expertise in supply chain management has evolved from a wide and multi dimensional approach. He is an APICS certified Production and Inventory Management professional who has been lecturing Supply Chain Management subjects for the past 4 years for APICS. His more recent work history involved two and a half years as a Senior Consultant for one of the big five consultancy firms in their Supply Chain Management group. Peter has a wide array of experience in all fascists of Supply Chain Management enabling him to see business from the day-to-day detail level right through to the strategic management of resources. Back to top John Dionysiou: Project Consultant John has 12 years business experience in the private sector, primarily with small to medium size businesses, holding various Accounting and IT roles including Financial Controller and IT Manager. In recent years John has gained additional technology experience providing solutions specialising in supply chain and warehouse automation using data capture equipment. John has been involved with the following projects; the implementation of ERP systems, IT needs analysis, developing performance management systems (and other decision-support systems) and solutions-based technology consulting. From this mix of line management and consulting experience, John has a solid understanding of what businesses and clients require when it comes to their total business and technology needs. John has a driving passion for identifying better ways of doing things to improve performance, customer service and the bottom line of a company and believes that this can be accomplished utilising both new or existing technologies. John has helped companies identify weaknesses in processes and adapt the appropriate technology to provide satisfactory business outcomes at the same time providing significant return on investment to the businesses.
